How do you handle SCA and 3D Secure for checkout?

Beginning September 14, 2019, PSD2 regulation requires Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) for businesses based in the European Economic Area (EEA), which makes additional customer action necessary for many online payments made by European customers.

If you are a credit card owner with residence in Europe your bank might request a manual payment authentication since the new SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) has been established on the 14th of September 2019. Please ask your bank or Credit card provider for further information.

In case that your credit card requires the 3D Secure Authentication method you will be sent an email including a link for cardholders to authenticate when required. Please follow the instructions and confirm your subscription.

Our checkout is SCA ready and supports Strong Customer Authentication as well as 3D Secure. Should you encounter any problems please feel free to contact us for any questions.
